Zimbabwe is Pregnant for a Revolution

Over the course of civilisation there have been several incidents which have forever altered human history where ordinary people, you and me, have come together to bring down oppressive regimes. These movements relied on unity of the oppressed parties. Zimbabwe is pregnant for a revolution.
It is clear that there is no organisational sector in Zimbabwe which is not tired of being abused by this regime. For the MDC the revolution is 20 years old now and it is time to unite and finish what we started.
Zimbabweans should learn from some of the most world changing revolutions to have ever occurred like the Russian revolution, the American revolution, the Industrial revolution, the Cuban Revolution and Xinhai revolution. Ours is a revolution to end 40years of ZANU-PF misrule.
Revolutions occur when long term socioeconomic development is followed by short term and sharp economic reversals. This has continued with every successive ZANU-PF government. During the GNU Zimbabweans experienced improving economic conditions and expected to be able to obtain more. There was a sharp reversal in economic fortunes immediately after GNU which have worsened until to today. The ability to obtain goods had totally collapsed in Zimbabwe. We have a serious crisis. The nation is unhappy, unsatisfied and frustrated by government depreviation.. The gap between what ordinary Zimbabweans are able to obtain and what they believe they should be able to receive continue to rise.
A good example is when Zimbabweans visits hospitals they expect a safe healthcare system. They expect to be treated, seen by a doctor, get all their prescribed medication but instead they are going to hospitals to die. Our hospitals have all been turned into palliative care homes, and its another slow genocide being committed by this regime.
It is also for these reasons that demonstrations will not come easy for Zimbabweans. ZANU-PF is a revolutionary party and shall suppress any new wave of social revolution. The regime is aware that the success of a revolution heralds the transformation of old political and economic orders.
Zimbabweans should unite as we are all affected by the economic development, lack of political rights and opportunities, economic hardships, corruption and the regime’s brutality.
